DeBrica Butler is a native of Decatur, GA. She earned her BS in human services from Shorter University and Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University. DeBrica has over 10 years of experience in the mental health field. She has worked with the Department of Juvenile Justice to provide substance abuse and anger management groups worked; and with the Department of Family and Children services providing support, coping and parenting strategies to families experiencing neglect and trauma. DeBrica has always desired to be a support for individuals and assist families with working through life's complex issues, depression, anxiety, addiction and trauma.
DeBrica enjoys working with teen girls, women, couples and LGBTQIA. She is a kink-friendly therapist that is passionate about working with clients to address sexual concerns, navigate poly and non-traditional relationships. DeBrica is an extremely passionate, empathetic, and supportive counselor. She believes in creating positive, comfortable environments of self-expression and development for her clients.
DeBrica utilizes a variety of treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral, Narrative, Dialectical Behavioral, Solution Focused, and other strength-based perspectives to identify the needs of clients and guide them to their desired outcome. DeBrica identifies herself as cisgender, heterosexual; utilizing pronouns she/her/hers.
